About PKBI

PKBI, or the Indonesian Planned Parenthood Association, is a civil society organization focused on sexual and reproductive health, as well as family empowerment. Through the INKLUSI Program, PKBI helps ensure that children in conflict with the law and transwomen (waria) can access basic services, legal protection, and public spaces on an equal basis.

Children’s Forums in LPKA facilities to provide a platform for self-expression, voicing aspirations, and supporting the fulfillment of children's rights.

Children Forums in LPKA at District/City levels, incl. in LPKA Class II of Bengkulu, Class I of Kupang, Class I of Blitar, and Child Inmate Group Class II of Palangkaraya.

CICWTLs have accessed government and external services, including civil registration, social protection, education, healthcare, and support for handling violence cases.
The Guidance for Referral, Prevention, and Violence Handling Services for CICWTL in LPKA, along with the Collective Rearing training module, has been completed and is now used as a reference to develop violence prevention mechanisms in LPKA facilities.
At LPKA Class I Blitar, PKBI East Java’s subpartner and the Counsellor Forum of the Blitar City Office for Women Empowerment, Child Protection, and Family Planning (DP3AKB) have supported the development of a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for handling violence cases.

Facilitation of Violence Case Reporting to the Waria

Srikandi Pasundan, HW MKGR South Sumatra, and PKBI South Sulawesi have partnered with Legal Aid Organisations to develop mechanisms for case handling, service provision, and referrals for survivors of violence. Data on violence against waria was included in the Indonesia’s National Commission on Violence Against Women’s 2024 Annual Report.
