This infographic was produced by the Women’s Resource Development Centre (PPSW) Riau, a member of the PERMAMPU Consortium, with the support of the Australia–Indonesia Partnership Towards an Inclusive Society (INKLUSI).
It highlights the impacts of child marriage, particularly when children are married before the legal age as set out in Law No. 16 of 2019. Both boys and girls face risks, but girls are more vulnerable to experiencing greater impacts. These risks span education, economic opportunities, and health, including a heightened risk of maternal and child mortality.
