The Australia-Indonesia Partnership Towards an Inclusive Society (INKLUSI) is partnering with PT Espay Debit Indonesia Koe (DANA) and Ant International to support economic empowerment initiatives targeting women-led micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), as well as entrepreneurs with disabilities from INKLUSI’s national and local partner networks. This collaboration is being realised through the SisBerdaya and DisBerdaya programs.
The partnership promotes the use of technology to drive sustainable small business development, aligning with INKLUSI’s focus on economic recovery and strengthening livelihoods for marginalised communities.
SisBerdaya is an initiative by DANA that aims to build the capacity of women entrepreneurs through a series of trainings, mentorship activities, and a business competition. Meanwhile, DisBerdaya is specifically designed for women entrepreneurs with disabilities and is being implemented in collaboration with a number of civil society organisations, including INKLUSI Partners.
Both SisBerdaya and DisBerdaya carry the theme “Advancing Business through Technology”, with training modules ranging from digital marketing to the use of artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance business competitiveness.
SisBerdaya is open to two categories of business owners: Micro and Ultra Micro. These categories reflect the characteristics of most INKLUSI program participants—women who run or are starting community-based or individual businesses at the grassroots level.
From the pool of applicants, 180 participants will be selected to join online training sessions. Of those, 30 participants with the strongest business proposals will receive in-person training in Jakarta and have the opportunity to pitch their businesses at the Grand Final event in August 2025. A total prize pool of IDR 750 million will be awarded to the top participants.
INKLUSI welcomes this initiative as a tangible example of collaboration between the private sector and civil society. This partnership is expected to support INKLUSI partners in growing their businesses, expanding their networks, and embracing digital technologies to strengthen their enterprises—reflecting INKLUSI’s ongoing commitment to building a more inclusive, equitable, and sustainable society.
