As part of the commemoration of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, Migrant CARE today staged a traditional ketoprak performance entitled Perempuan Memanah Rembulan at the Arena Theatre of the Central Java Cultural Park (TBS), Surakarta, Central Java.
The performance was a collaboration between Migrant CARE and the traditional arts group Ketoprak Srawung Bersama, with support from the INKLUSI Program. Using traditional performing arts as a medium for public education and advocacy, the performance aimed to enhance public understanding of the importance of equal and just relationships, as well as the protection of women’s rights.
