The General Guidelines for the Placement and Empowerment of Potential Older Workers (Tenaga Kerja Lanjut Usia Potensial – TKLUP) were compiled by the Directorate of Special Labour Placement, Directorate General of Labour Placement Development and Expansion of Employment Opportunities, Ministry of Manpower, in collaboration with the Australia–Indonesia Partnership towards an Inclusive Society (INKLUSI). This is part of the effort to realise inclusive and equitable employment in Indonesia.
This document serves as a policy reference and socialisation material to increase understanding of the importance of equal access to work for potential older persons. It also aims to encourage the creation of an age-friendly employment ecosystem through the support of various stakeholders. These guidelines emphasise the principles of inclusivity, non-discrimination, and respect for the diversity of individual capacities within the workforce.
Through these guidelines, it is hoped that regional governments, the business and industrial world, job training institutions, and the wider community can play an active role in expanding decent work opportunities for potential older workers, while simultaneously strengthening their participation in economic and social life with dignity.
